Art Every Day Month

I have been following Leah’s Blog, Creative Every Day for a while now and learned of her Art Every Day Month Challenge that happens every November. It is a fantastic community effort to do something creative every day, at least for this month.  It’s not a huge amount of pressure, yet it’s just the little push I need to experiment with art and not be flustered by the thought or belief that everything I do has to be a final piece of work.  So here I go on this month-long journey with many others who have stepped up to the challenge.  I will be posting daily here on tortagialla, whatever work I do, whether in progress, completed or just musings.  My goal is loosen up and experiment. Thanks for stopping by and I would appreciate your thoughts and comments, as always!

I love the colours. Are these the colours of your Tuscan landscape?

Now that you mention it, when it isn’t all green, the colors of the landscape are very earth tonish as such. I’m not sure why, I picked this color scheme to work with. It is warm, yet not entirely at the same time…a bit religious relic in tone almost.

Loose and free. I like the effects you’re getting. I see a bit of shimmer in the second photo. How did you get that effect?

Thanks for checking out my work! Actually, the painting was still went when I took the photo, so the shimmer is probably the flash reflection! I think you could use medium of some sort to create glimmer in acrylic pieces though.
