Art Every Day Month 21

After creating the template for the snowman stationery template set (download it for personal use here), I decided to add a list paper template as well, so you can download the snowman design for your to do lists, shopping lists and whatever lists .

I like the idea of creating as many usable elements as possible in the stationery set, so that it suits all needs.  Can you think of anything else to add in?  For the holidays, I was thinking of place setting paper goods, but perhaps that is a different set altogether that would have invitations, namecards and placemat decorations.  Perhaps color-it-in line drawings for children’s placements?  That was an idea that popped up when I was in the shower, so random!

Otherwise, I was happen to make an order on Moo.com for my holiday postcards with different designs and art work featured.  I am so excited to receive it, although here in Italy the mail takes forever – even if something is sent FedEx or DHL.  I’m crossing my fingers.  In the spirit of looking at past designs and trying to clean up and organize, I decided to go back through all my files from the beginning and finish all those unfinished and abandoned projects.  Or at least look at them again…!  This is going to take some time…

Cute design! It was sweet of you to share. Wow, living in Tuscany! I lived in southern Ca. for a short time and I have visited Tuscany. I would imagine that the pace of life is immensely different in your new home. It must be a great place to get the creative juices going!

You’re welcome, kelly! Yep, Italy is definitely a huge change, but it’s nice that things are new, you know?

The snowman set is so cute. Have you thought about some kind of chore chart for children.

    They would love the illustration.

Oh, interesting. So charts and such might be useful…I’ll have to research that. Thanks for the feedback!

    Hi Linda,
Thank you for your comments. I love meeting new friends. I have been to Italy once and want so much to go back someday.
Your snowman stationary is so sweet. Thank you for sharing. I liked Vicky’s idea for a winter chore list for children. That would work nicely. I was thinking of an interactive calendar for children to use to learn the days of the week/month.
You mentioned pricing. An artist friend of mine suggested that when pricing your work, start out low. You can always increase the price later. She feels that one wouldn’t want to lower the price because it was too high. Just figure the cost per item to reproduce the work and then add a profit. Some say double the cost, but I feel that may make it too costly at first.
    Nice to meet you.

Hi Janet! Thanks for stopping by and the for more ideas…I’ll have to look into that. About pricing…I think you have to give it something you are comfortable with..so when you sell you feel good about it. That it was the right price for you and the customer. You don’t want to regret pricing something too low…or feel something is too high and you are taking advantage of the customer either! It is tricky…but the great thing is that you can change pricing!

  5. Adorable!! This is definitely the season for lists, isn’t it?
