Thursday Creative Workspace

I had my hair cut today, so I guess the big change is giving me the fritz.  I’m jumping from one project to another, a giant creative mess all over the room.  However, a mess exists only when work is being done, right?  Or perhaps just a lot of distraction and play, tee hee!   I am nearly done with these collage muses I started this week, little mixed media pieces – see the embroidered hearts?

I’m also experimenting with a new craft toy – a Kumihimo braiding disk.  I was so excited to receive it in the mail yesterday, except all the instructions are in German…eek!

I also cut into my beautiful orange leather – finally!  Now if I could only put it together…

Last but not least…working on illustrations that will eventually be paintings.  I can never draw the same thing twice without it morphing into something different.  I’m consistent at being inconsistent I suppose, perhaps I can call it originality?  Well, let me try and finish some of these projects now…have a fabulous Thursday and as always I appreciate you stopping by.

   Your little mixed media pieces are looking gorgeous! I adore their cute little faces and the embroidered hearts are such a beautiful touch! YOur new adventure ~ Kumihimo braiding looks like so much fun and gorgeous colors!

   I get distracted too easily working on lots of projects and making a mess of my workspace! It’s kinda fun hehe Have a lovely merry happy day and love to you!

     hi jacqueline! It’s always lovely to hear from you! I hope I can learn some new patterns with the braiding…reminds me a lot of lanyards and friendship bracelets from childhood…woohoo! I think a messy workspace means progress…if only I had more space! Hope you are having a great holiday season!

   Your muses are looking quite lovely! the braid looks like what the summer campers used to call boondoggle. I always thought that was a funny word:)

     Thanks Bobbi! Yes, totally kiddie crafts with the braiding…it’s amazing what you can do though with more threads and adding beads at some point!

   Oh, I like your collage muses! They are simply adorable! I think it’s a good thing to have projects going on. When I have my plate sufficiently full, I feel productive and it spurs me on. The down days are actually those when I feel like I’m idling.

     Thanks so much! Collaging is uber fun. I seem to always have many things going on, lots of excitement when an idea springs up, but it doesn’t mean I’m good at finishing! I have issues with closure perhaps! hahha….
