I can so relate to split the "self" to work on our creative projects. As I work part-time (4-days week, non creative type work), I could only work on my creative projects on week nights & weekend. This causes some frustration and anxiety as I keep thinking I need more time to practice, learn etc. The reality is I was tired after work and have not much energy for creativity. The guilt zips in and I beat (mentally!) myself up big time. I think the solution is a more effective time management and realistic expectation of our creative work. Just my 2 cents of thought. I've learned things just can't be planned exactly. More like we have to plan lots of possible scenarios to be prepared for anything - if that makes sense! I totally understand the whole being at home thing...some folks just don't understand. I've been in a super stress corporate job - where hours went crazy. But also been in jobs where you leave at 5pm and you are free! For me, working at home is like life is job and job is life, etc...everything all muddled together! I know, something always pops up.
