Inspiration from past work

Sometimes you can give yourself an inspirational boost by just looking at your own past work. I found a bunch of my old artwork and watercolors while organizing and cleaning. Even though there’s a lot of sketches or experiments, just seeing all the different pieces I’ve done reminded me of how far I’ve come. It felt really good to see the progression and it’s definitely inspiring me to do more. I want to keep moving forward and keep exploring to see where it all takes me.

I hope you can look back at your own work and see how much you’ve already accomplished. Or maybe an unfinished idea will spark up a new passion and sense of motivation? Don’t forget to give yourself a pat on the back and then use the positive energy to inspire yourself to Spring forward. Happy Monday folks!

These are lovely! I especially like the whale and the cute doggy by the lamp post. I absolutely agree with you about taking time to pat ourselves on the back. I forget to do it sometimes but when I do, it gives me the strength to keep going. Thanks for sharing your watercolours! *pats you on the back* :)

It’s always great to look back at your work and see where you came from and where you are at. Good for you and definitely pat-on-the-back worthy!

Oh Linda! The whale reminds me of a song I used to sing to my kids when they were little…what a great trip down memory lane! Thanks :-)

Awee, how nice! I have no idea where I might have seen a whale like that…just doodled away. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  6. Linda,
    Amazing past work!
I also like looking through my past creativity, and I always see it for what it is and sometimes even find new meaning in it, which I wouldn’t have found before! Art is very igniting.
