Art Journal With Me – Old School Drawing

Somedays I don’t really feel like doing anything. But if I just put a pencil in my hand and get a sheet of white paper, something will come out. It might be a bunch of scribbling, the writing of a list or even a morbid image…but today it turned out to be a little kid drawing. It makes me think of old times, schoolbook binders and doodling on ruled school paper. Memories…

I had fun doing this quick drawing and decided to glue it into my art journal. I used colored pencils in a super messy fashion because I really can never stay within the lines! I think of this drawing as old school regression…just going at it like the old days without rules or worries about the outcome. Sure it looks like a 7-year old did it…but I’m proud of it anyway. Very old school…very cool.

Beautiful drawing and its great to tap into our child-like nature and just draw whatever we feel like it.
Hope you are well. It’s been a while.
