Have you ever take photos at night, leaving the shutter open for a while? You get these mega-cool light paintings, I suppose. It’s fun and inspiring…do you see the little hearts in the first photo? I’m inspired to do a bit more experimentation with night photography…

I love taking photos like this. it is called “Light Painting” They make for fantastic abstract art when printed up large. My brother has one blown up and hung over his bed- it’s a shot of my pool light at night! The photo of his bedroom and the photo is on my website http://www.tanyagilmartin.com
Light painting with your camera can be addicting- give your kids some glow sticks and sparklers and have some fun!
