Pensieri – My First Handmade Zine

“Pensieri” means “thoughts” in Italian and that is the title of my first handmade zine. It feels fantastic to put my thoughts into writing and have it published in a little book format. Not only that, I had loads of fun creating this handmade zine stitched together with lots of little bits and bobs to get your creative juices flowing. This first issue is all about Art Journaling – one of my loves and I’ve made the zine into a collaborative art journal… here are some peeks…

Are you ready to get your very own copy of Pensieri? This very first issue is fun-filled, handmade with my love and care. You’ll find Pensieri in my Etsy shop for those interested…come a take a little art journaling journey with me :)

Those who are interested in art journaling or have thought about starting, please check out the art journaling week of blog posts on Julie Balzer’s blog! It’s a whole week all about art journaling and I’m super honored to be guest posting as well. Woohoo! Check it out all week long and enjoy!

    Linda!
Your zine looks so delish. Your style is clean but also soft and natural.

Thanks, Gretchen! I like the idea of zines and easily being able to reproduce a piece of writing…but I love the handmade aspect, so when I construct the zine, I add in all these layers and handmade touches, so it’s really unique and personal for the reader. Something you can play with..hehe!

How wonderful! That truly makes me so happy…I think art journaling is super fun and especially with kids, they naturally want to make that mark, splash on colors…so fun! My nieces all draw and doodle as well…it’s a great way for them to express themselves too! Thanks for stopping by and so honored to have you reading my blog :)

Thanks so much, Mirja! Yes, pockets are fun and you can slip goodies into them. This was my first zine, so I’ve already learned a bit and thinking of more subjects to explore :)

Wow! Very cool and congrats! So this zine- you made a bunch? And each one was hand made separately? Must have taken you a while to put them together. how many did you make?
I love the fact that these look like a really cool art journal already done! good job! Also, very nice idea to include bits of stuff to create with!

Yup, handmade! That way I can add in the paint, stamps and unique papers in each one…it’s super fun! It’s like minibooks, but more freedom since each is unique except for the actual text parts. Thanks so much, I’ve only made 10 so far! I really appreciate your comments and for checking it out!
