Spread the love

For some Copic coloring today, I printed out my balloon girl digital stamp that I drew some time ago. It’s not really a valentine image, but I added a heart with my white gel pen on the balloon to make it lovey dovey. Alternatively, I could have written something or popped up a punched heart… you can sort of turn the balloon into anything.

Of course, after finishing up the image, I wasn’t really sure what kind of card I wanted to make. Then I decided that for the last day, I would use one of the menus from our wedding. Yes, I made them by hand and so the extras I kept all this time. No idea what I might do with them still… but in an effort to destash, I decided to just fold it in half and use it as a card base. It’s not really meant to be opened up, but I can stick in chocolate on the sides like a pocket.

I wrote a note on it and then the back still has our wedding cartoon printouts…oh the memories. I suppose sometimes you can use ephemera for your cards and notes. It doesn’t have to be fancy or product filled. I think from this series of cards, I’ve learned more to just do what I want, instead of trying to emulate what I think a card should be like. So that’s it for the series of cards. Happy Valentine’s! Sending you much love…
