About Linda aka tortagialla

A girl who moved to Italy to settle down with her love and chase her dreams…

My story truly started when I made the big decision to move from Los Angeles, California to a small town nestled in the Italian Tuscan countryside.  This life changing event was the turning point of my creative journey.  It pushed me forward into new territory physically and mentality. I went from mathematics major to web designer to project manager and finally to creative entrepreneur. My broad range of experiences both professionally and culturally gives me a solid foundation upon which my work is built.  Now I am living my dream – designing, illustrating and crafting full-time.

My work ranges from digital graphics to traditional illustration and painting, very mixed media as I constantly experiment with new mediums and interesting ways of using what we have around us. With a broad definition, I believe all my work is ultimately mixed media by process. I use many tools, whatever necessary to convey my message and create my work throughout the design process. I strive to create beautiful and thoughtful work, themed around positivity in our wondrous world and seeking to enjoy life, along with the ups and downs. This blog documents my journey and my work – an exciting and challenging journey.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope I can inspire you to see the beauty and joy all around us. Remember that you have the power to decide your own point of view, so be happy, laugh daily and love always…ciao ciao!

I came over to check out your blog after you left me such a nice comment and I started reading through your blog but then got distracted by your story in your About page and the fact that you live in Tuscany creating full time, oh, what bliss. You must tell me the secret of achieving this dream :)
