Lately I’ve been pretty busy with freelance work and other projects…not as much time on scrapbooking or cardmaking as I would like. Suddenly, I realized [inter]National Scrapbooking Day is creeping up! Well, it’s a great opportunity to do a bit of digital scrapbooking I’ve been planning and meaning to do after going through a whole hard drive of older photos. The process was a bit grueling, going through years and years of digital photo files. However, I ended up with lovely folders of chosen photos, organized by story or theme…ready to be scrapbooked. I started creating some layouts that would expedite the process of going through my huge volume of photos. Here’s a peek at some of the templates I created for myself…

I definitely drew inspiration and scrap-lifted ideas from masters like Ali Edwards and Cathy Zielske. I’m not really sure what my scrapping style is yet as I create in different styles and honestly like the variety. Whatever works, right? But when it comes to digital layouts I do tend to go towards a more clean graphic design type of look by default. We’ll see what happens when I start to put everything together. I can’t wait to get into it and in the end be able to share all the photos that were just sitting on a hard drive.
