I was just listening to the latest Paperclipping Digi Show podcast and loving the new collection by Vinnie Pearce, The Apple of My Eye. I checked out the collection in the shop, then the inspiration page with layouts displayed, not to mention videos on how the album was made…wow!!! Sorry, but I have to gush. Such beauty and cohesion in the collection…I’m totally inspired! I love how much inspiration is provided with the release of the collection and it’s not just a static bunch of files that scrappers must work with. It’s always nice to see the projects and layouts that have been created, so we understand how the designer meant it to be used and the possibilities. I think it’s great inspiration for digital scrappers to just take a look at the collection and the samples…beautiful stuff. I also love the hybrid uses, really making it worth your purchase multiple times over. I hope you head on over to the site and get an inspiration boost yourself!
I’m currently working on a bunch of designs and have found great use in reading some of the blog posts from other digital designers. It’s so wonderful that they share information so openly and I’m currently going through Sugarplum Paperie’s series on how to get started in digital design. There’s also a post by Flerg on designer tips and tricks. If you aren’t one to go into digital design yourself…I found this video by Shimelle on why she scrapbooks to be so darn cool. It’s such a great perspective…go watch it now!
