I’m definitely happy to almost be done with the month of February simply because LOAD is taking up a whole lot of my time. Good and bad! Today, I decided to use lots of patterned papers, because all the American Crafts Fresh Squeezed products are so lovely and colorful. They make me happy just looking at them. Of course, I always have trouble using so many bright items, because I think they are bit too much, especially since I have a color photo. In these cases, I try to go with a simpler background and to use my papers in bits and pieces. So the latest sketch at Elle’s Studio came in really handy for my project.

I used the sketch as a jumping off point, especially since I’ve seen a lot of layouts with banners and I just love the look.

Lots of clusters and colorful bits, but a plain ledger paper background for my journaling spot – that’s it!

Pretty simple, but so cute and happy to me. When it all brings a smile to my face, that’s a success there. It doesn’t have to be complicated. You might have noticed as well that I can’t seem to shy away from saying the same things over and over again. How original can one be with titles and journaling when it’s the same sentiment? I suppose, it’s okay to repeat and reuse – why not? It is so sweet… so sweeeettttt!

I’m a fan of adding bits and pieces, loving all the stickers and layering things up, but generally…I’m still a neat scrapper. It’s pretty linear and blocked off in terms of layout design. I’m not into too much chaos, as I usually don’t like the results. I suppose, I like organized chaos. Thanks for visiting!
