Happy Friday to everyone! Somehow I feel relieved whenever the weekend rolls around, even though it’s not necessarily a huge change since I work from home and take care of our little boy every single day, anyway. Funny… it must be a mental thing.
My day started early thanks to the little one gurgling and wanting to make conversation, which is a good thing because mornings are cooler in the summer and it’s a great opportunity to get things done. However, I’m still playing scrapbook catchup. As you can see from the photo, my desk is a MESS! Yikes.
Besides my own layouts, I also have a huge list of design ideas for the… it’s just a bit slow going with everything going on. I realize I sound like a broken record, but I really don’t know how parents can do anything else but take care of their kid(s) – definitely a full-time job in itself.
If you haven’t already, check out my latest printable sampler. I’ve notice hundreds of downloads (probably because it’s free) but I would love some feedback as well – the whole point of putting something out there as a sampler. I’ve got to earn my share as well and I really hope to create more of these printable cards and embellishments that are great for hybrid scrappers like me as well as project life scrappers.
My goal has always been to make my scrapbooking sustainable in selling my designs. I realize that I’ll always have to supplement with my freelance design work because the profit is just not very much. I don’t think people realize how much time is requires to design and put things up for sale. I am not complaining at all, but I post so many freebies and most people just grab and leave. It’s a bit sad for sure. It would be nice to make a little profit!
Those are my thoughts this morning… but I should end on a positive note , because I’ll never stop designing and posting products – whether paid or free. It’s all self-serving in the end, because I use my own designs for my own scrapbooking… can’t complain really. Thank you to all of you who do purchase my designs – you know who you are – I appreciate it so much! Love ‘ya!
