Being a tech nerd of this generation, I find myself plugged in and online seemingly 24/7. From computers to smart phones to tablets, we can be connected whenever wherever  I think it’s totally cool and amazing, but sometimes even I feel the overwhelm and glossy eyed effect of it all. Why not take a digital break and go offline on purpose?

Sometimes the power goes out here in our little Tuscan town, so I’m forced to take a digital break. It was frustrating at first, but now I realize it’s a good opportunity to unplug. I don’t know about you, but I find myself compulsively checking things online with my smartphone. Not healthy, huh? So my take action step this week was to stay offline for a few days.

It was a little weird to not even turn on my computer! But no worries, because life goes on and I feel refreshed.

I took time to just do nothing – to give myself some TLC – to play and create freely.

Why don’t you give it a try? Unplug even for an hour or two, deliberately. It’s Spring after all… time outdoor fun, lazying about under the sun…
