I know that I’m posting late in the month of June for Pride month of awareness, but I’ve had this idea in my mind for awhile, just took a bit to get onto the computer and design! The month of June every year is when we celebrate in a number of ways to recognize, bring awareness and support the LGBTQIA+ community. Why June you say? Because it is when the Stonewall Riots took place, way back in 1969. Known as the “Mother of Pride”, Brenda Howard is credited to have started this June celebration.

Certainly things have come a long way, but there’s still a long path ahead of us because injustice is still rampant and doing harm to the the LGBTQIA+ community. There are countries where it is still illegal to be gay, so progress still needs to be pushed forward. I have loved ones in this community and even if I didn’t know anyone personally, it still means a lot of mean to support diversity and freedom for all. I believe that love is a basic human right, so I’ve always loved the phrase Love is Love. That’s why I created this design and I think it’s perfect to put up on the wall, include in your planner and/or your journal for some lovely journaling time.
